Privacy policy.
How we use your information when you visit this website, contact us or discuss a project.
Who is responsible for your information?
Kiernect is KIERNECT LTD, company number 17469807, registered in England and Wales. Registered office: 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, United Kingdom, WC2H 9JQ. Email: [email protected]. Telephone: 07356 206231.
KIERNECT LTD is the controller for information used to run this website and handle its own enquiries and customer relationships. Contact [email protected] or write to our registered office about privacy or your rights. This notice covers our own business; personal data we process for a client’s website or system is covered by the relevant client’s notice and our agreement with them.
What we collect
When you enquire, we receive your name, email address, optional business or website details, service selection, message and any selected package or project brief. If you contact us by telephone, email or WhatsApp, we receive the information you share and the correspondence needed to respond.
Website and security systems process connection information such as IP address, browser details, requested URL, request time and security events. Our enquiry service uses a hashed connection identifier to limit abuse. We do not add advertising trackers or marketing analytics to this website.
Why we use it and our legal grounds
- Enquiries and quotations: to understand your request and take steps towards a contract where you are the prospective customer. For enquiries made on behalf of a business, we rely on our legitimate interest in communicating with that business.
- Customer work and support: to perform our contract with you, or our legitimate interest in providing services and communicating with a business customer.
- Website security and administration: our legitimate interests in protecting the website, preventing spam and maintaining a reliable service.
- Records required by law: to meet applicable accounting, tax and other legal obligations.
- Disputes: our legitimate interest in establishing, exercising or defending legal claims.
Submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing. If we introduce optional consent-based marketing or tracking, we will explain it separately and obtain consent where required. You can withdraw any consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful use.
Who receives your information
People authorised to handle Kiernect enquiries and customer work can access the information they need. Our hosting and email infrastructure supports storage and message delivery. Cloudflare delivers and protects website traffic; SafeLine protects the server. These systems can process connection and security information. An enquiry notification is sent to [email protected] as well as being saved on our server.
We may disclose information to professional advisers or public authorities where necessary for a legal obligation or claim. We do not sell enquiry details. WhatsApp and other external services process information under their own policies when you choose to use them.
International processing
Cloudflare operates internationally and may process connection information outside the UK. Its published data processing terms describe its transfer safeguards, including standard contractual clauses and the UK Addendum where applicable. Contact us for information about safeguards relevant to your data. If you choose WhatsApp or another external service, its international processing is described in its own privacy notice.
How long we keep information
- Website enquiry database: entries are automatically removed after 90 days. The stored hashed connection identifier is cleared after 24 hours during scheduled maintenance.
- Enquiry emails and correspondence: kept while needed to respond, prepare a quote or resolve follow-up questions. If no project follows, we review whether there is any continuing need, such as an unresolved complaint or potential claim, and delete information that is no longer needed. Deleting the website database copy does not automatically delete an email copy.
- Customer and financial records: kept for the service relationship and any applicable statutory record-keeping period, or while needed for a dispute. Relevant records may need to be retained after a project ends.
- Web server logs: rotated daily with 14 archived rotations. Separate security-provider logs follow the relevant service’s retention arrangements.
- Security cookies: see our cookie policy for the observed lifespan.
You can ask us about the retention criteria for a particular record. Information relevant to an ongoing legal obligation or dispute may be kept longer than routine records.
Your choices and rights
You do not have to enquire. We need the required form fields to reply and understand your request; optional business details are your choice. You can contact us by email or telephone instead. We do not use your enquiry for automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects, or automated profiling.
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct or erase information, restrict its use, receive portable data, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. These rights are subject to legal conditions. Email [email protected]; we may need proportionate information to confirm your identity. We normally respond within one month, subject to lawful extensions.
If you are unhappy with how we use your data, contact us so we can investigate. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK data protection regulator.
Security and changes
We use HTTPS, access restrictions and abuse prevention to protect the website and enquiries. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. We update this notice when our website or processing changes; the date below shows the latest update.
